- How long will the training programs in this phase run? The average length of the courses being offered in each phase will be three (3) months.
- Is physical attendance mandatory for the training sessions? The training is hybrid, meaning that it combines online and in-person components. While the majority of the training can be done remotely, there are aspects that will require in-person training.
- Will there be financial support for transport, meals and other services in addition to the training? The only financial support for this phase of the programme will be the cost of training. Participants will be responsible for transportation, meals and other costs.
- Will I be required to write an entry assessment? Yes, there will be an entry assessment to determine the skill benchmark for each applicant. This will also be used in selecting the most applicable course for fellows.
- What is the 3MTT “My Career in Tech” Webinar about? The 3MTT webinar is an informative panel discussion between guest speakers, who are successful Nigerian professionals in the tech industry and a moderator who leads the conversation. The purpose of the webinar is for the guest speakers to offer insight from their experience in the industry and advice to fellows and learning community members who are just embarking on their journeys in the tech industry. The overarching goal of the webinar is to get the fellows in the best position to be employed into their dream tech jobs. The webinar takes place weekly on Friday’s at 4:00pm live on the FMCIDE Youtube page https://www.youtube.com/@FMCIDENigeria and each series is an hour long. Fellows and Learning Community members are also encouraged to ask the guest speakers questions and provide us with feedback as to what topics they would like to be discussed.
- Are there going to be only 12 courses covered in the programme? No, the twelve (12) courses available have been identified for the first phase. As the program expands, in subsequent phases more courses will be added.
- When will Cohort 2,3 and 4 Onboarding Commence? Cohort 2 Onboarding is scheduled to begin in March while Onboarding for cohort 3 and 4 will begin in July and October respectively
- What do I do while waiting to be Onboarded? You will be added to communities where you will get access to free resources, collaborative self paced learning and physical meetup with your peers
- Can I change my course and location? Yes, as your onboarding period is to familiarize yourself with your selected course before you will be able to confirm or change your course, skill level and location
- Are there weekly assessments to take? Yes, there are weekly assessments that you have to take. Look up the course modules you are take on your dashboard as they will appear on the assignment feature. Take the assignments and submit.
