Learning is more effective when done together! The Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Learning Model in the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program is designed to help fellows collaborate, share knowledge, and grow their skills as a community. This guide will walk you through what you need to know to get started.

What is Peer-to-Peer Learning?

Peer-to-Peer (P2P) learning is a collaborative learning model where fellows in the 3MTT program form small groups to:

✅ Learn together
✅ Solve problems collectively
✅ Support each other in completing tasks and projects

Each peer group consists of 4–10 members, usually from the same skill track and location.

How Are Peer Groups Structured?

Each Peer Group has:

1️⃣ Peer Members – Fellows actively participating in discussions, projects, and learning activities.
2️⃣ A Peer Lead – A fellow who organizes meetings, tracks group progress, and communicates with the Community Manager (CM).
3️⃣ A Deputy Peer Lead – Assists the Peer Lead in coordinating group activities.

How to Engage in Peer-to-Peer Learning

To make the most of P2P learning, here’s what you need to do:

1. Participate in Group Activities
  • Join weekly or biweekly virtual meetups to discuss progress.
  • Contribute to team projects, problem-solving exercises, and brainstorming sessions.
  • Share useful resources, insights, and experiences with your peers.

2. Follow Communication and Collaboration Guidelines
  • Respect all group members and ensure inclusive participation.
  • Use approved channels (LMS, Discord, WhatsApp, etc.) for discussions.
  • Keep all communication professional and positive.
3. Stay Accountable and Track Progress
  • Attend scheduled meetings and complete assigned tasks.
  • Peer Leads will submit reports on group participation and progress.
  • Engage in feedback sessions to improve learning experiences.
Why is Peer-to-Peer Learning Important?

🚀 Faster Learning – Learn from your peers' experiences and perspectives.
🛠 Improved Problem-Solving – Work together to tackle challenges.
🤝 Stronger Community – Build relationships and expand your professional network.
🎯 Better Skill Retention – Teaching and discussing topics reinforce your understanding.

How Do I Become a Peer Lead?

Peer Leads are selected based on:
✅ Basic understanding of the skill track
✅ Strong communication and leadership skills
✅ Active participation in previous learning activities

Peer Lead Benefits

✔ Leadership recognition & certificates
✔ Exclusive mentorship & learning opportunities
✔ Special incentives for top-performing groups

Staying Safe in Peer-to-Peer Learning
  • Keep all discussions and meetups within approved 3MTT platforms.
  • Do not share personal information (addresses, phone numbers) unless necessary.
  • Report any misconduct or issues to your Peer Lead or Community Manager.
