FAQs from Cohort 4 Orientation

How do I know I’m part of the cohort 4 program?

• You must have done your foundational course and entry assessment to stand a chance of being selected into Cohort 4. After the entry assessment is done, you will be ‘’Selected’’. You can check your dashboard to view your application status to show as ‘’Selected’’.

How do I access my foundational courses?

• You can access your Foundational Courses via the 3MTT Dashboard. Click on ‘’My Learning Path’’ and you will be led to the Compass AI platform. You will be able to enrol on your desired school and take your courses.

Can a person be selected into the cohort before completing the foundational courses?

• No, you won't be selected into cohort 4 without completing your foundational courses and entry assessment. Please visit your 3MTT dashboard to take your foundational courses and your entry assessment.

Are there any stipends for participating in the program?

• There are no stipends for participating in the program. However, there are rewards available during the program when you participate in reflections and challenges. Please stay tuned to our social media channel for more info on these challenges and competitions.

My dashboard still says I have no foundational courses. What do I do?

• If your dashboard doesn’t have ‘’my learning path’’ for the foundational course, it means you are not in the learning community. You can write to the support team to request a move to the learning community.

How possible will it be for someone who has a job in another city to attend the physical classes in another city?

• It is possible to attend your ALC in another City. All you need to do is write to support to change your state and ALC to your current location.

My dashboard has been the same for the past 2 years. I still don’t have a cohort. What should I do?

• Please check your dashboard to complete your profile, and look out for the onboarding cards that will enable you to take your Raisec assessment, Foundational Courses and Entry assessment. This makes you stand a chance of being selected into a cohort.

​​From Edo state. My resident local government area (Owan-West) is not in the list. What should those residents here do?

• If there are no ALCs in your location, there will be PLCs (Peer Learning Centres) available for fellows to meet up with their peers and learn.

I took the software engineering foundation class, and I'm done with it because I didn't know where to find Product management according to my RAISEC test result. Is that okay?

• It is fine for you take one or more than one Foundational courses. Here is how to change and try other courses https://3mttsupport.tawk.help/article/how-to-change-your-foundational-course-on-compass-ai. Please note that your previously attempted or completed course will be erased.

​​I have done RAISEC, but I cannot find the foundational courses. What do I do?

• Click on ‘’My Learning Path” on your 3MTT Dashboard to take your foundational course.

How will the physical class be?

• The physical classes are hands-on training with experienced facilitators whowill guide you through the learning phase.

Will there be gadgets provided for our training?

• Yes, there will be computers available at your ALC to enable you learn and practice.

If during my registration, I inputted a particular state, what if I were to move to another state while the cohort training is ongoing, can I continue my physical classes in the state I moved to.

• Yes, you can continue your studies in another state. Please notify the support so your state can be changed.

Can I change the course I applied for earlier? How do I do that?

• Yes, you can only change your course before the cohort learning begins. Please write to the support team to change your course. Please note that once the cohort begins, you can no longer change your course.

Does the RAISEC assessment report determine the course you get selected for automatically?

• Raisec assessment report makes recommendations for the courses that fit your skills and assessment. You can choose from the recommended pathways.

How many times will the physical learning take place in a week?

• The physical learning days and time varies across the ALCs. Please visit your ALC to confirm the arrangement.

Is there a physical learning centre in Lokoja?

• Yes, there is an ALC in Lokoja. Please check your 3MTT Dashboard to view the ALCs available during the course.

How long is this program?

• The program usually lasts for 3 - 4 months of learning.

I have completed my assessment, but I have not seen my certificate. What do I do?

• If you did not see your certificate, it means you did not meet the graduation requirement from the previous cohort to be certified. There are graduation criteria across each cohort that you must meet. If you are certain you met those criteria, please write to support.

​​Last week I did my 8-hour course, after that, nothing else, is it like that?

• Please look out for our social media and communication channel for updates around the program fro the entry assessments, which will be done after the foundational courses. You can check your 3MTT Dashboard for the link to take the entry assessment whenever it is announced. 

What is next after the foundational course?

• The next step after the foundational course is the entry assessment.

What about those who don’t have ALCs?

• If there are no ALCs in your location, there will be PLCs (Peer Learning Centres) available for fellows to meet up with their peers and learn.

I didn’t attend yesterday’s orientation. How do I register for my preferred school?

• You can take your Raisec assessment for recommended pathways, visit ‘’My learning path’’ on the 3MTT Dashboard to choose a course to study. Then plan towards a chosen course for the entry assessment and cohort learning.

Regarding NYSC, are we doing our PPA with 3MTT if we apply?

• You can take your 3MTT cohort learning alongside your NYSC.

Will the time to attend our physical learning centres be in line with our own schedules?

• The schedule for the classes will be determined by the ALC. Please visit the ALC to know the scheduled dates and times.

I have tried up to 20 times to change my course according to the procedure taught yesterday, but there has been no change. 

• The initial course you enrolled on Compass AI will not change. However, the course content of the new course you change to will appear.

​​Is it compulsory to own a laptop first before enrolling on the 3mtt training program?

• It is not compulsory to own a laptop, but it is advisable to have one as it is a self-paced learning program. You also have an opportunity to use the computers available at the ALC close to you.

I don't have a laptop tho, though. Can I really continue with this course, Data Analysis?

• Please note that this doesn’t prevent you from taking your assessments and foundational course. Please ensure you have uploaded your picture to your profile to ensure your application is complete

Is the entry assessment also the deep tech-ready assessment?

• No, they are different and not the same. The entry assessment is strictly for the 3MTT Cohort 4 Nextgen program.

I chose software development, but my assessment is pointing towards ui/ux

Please is the physical classes compulsory?

• The cohort program is a self-paced learning, so you can learn from the comfort of your home. However, the doors to the ALCs are open for you to learn hands-on.

Is the orientation online or physical?

• The orientation is online. You can visit your ALC for more clarification as well.

On the foundational course, can we do more than one foundational course?

• Yes, you can take more than one foundational course. But please note that the first school/course you enrol on is going to be the highlighted school, while as you change courses, the course content will change.

Why are some people selected into cohort 4, while others are not?

• Everyone in the learning community that take the Raisec assessment, Foundational course and entry assessment will be admitted into cohort 4. Check your 3MTT dashboard for the onboarding cards to commence.

What is the assessment to be taken after doing the foundational courses?

• You are expected to take the final Entry assessment that prepares you to be selected into Cohort 4.
